I honestly hate wearing costumes but this one was funny. It's sturdy and can take a beating. Lol we ordered this with a bloody tshirt that says "I'm fine" it was cute and we got a ton of compliments. And out kids cannot wait to use our costumes next year.
I ordered this and a shark hat for a Finding Nemo family costume for a Disneyworld trip. It was sooooo hot that I didn't wear it and opted for the hat and tee shirt but this is an adorable costume.
Costume is cheap but reasonably well made. Fit was not restrictive. Best of all, my little grandkids liked it on Grandpa at Halloween. Saved it for use again next year.
I love sharks and during our campus Halloween event a friend challenged me to wear a shark costume and have seven people dress up as sharks too but have a number on them for each day of the week. Being the crazy guy I am I made a fun sandwich board and put all the days of the week in fun fonts. This is a great costume to get a few laughs at at any fun costume party or costume function. It is a bit awkward for you have to stuff it just right but still I love sharks, shark week and just being a fun and silly guy. This was one I really enjoyed. It does get a bit hot at times but you can easily pull the head down for relief. Shark week or Jaws parties are also a great place to wear all your shark stuff this included.
My husband is 5'4 and this was a little big for him specially the top part where you show your face. He was was constantly fixing it the whole time he was wearing. But overall is a nice quality costume.
My son is 13 and 5’8” and it fits great. He loves it!
Do you need a shark costume in your life? Probably not. But, if you get this one, I promise you will find so many days and occasions are improved because of it. As an elementary school teacher, I've thrown this on to teach a lesson on fossils where we were looking at fossilized sharks' teeth. I've also worn it for math lessons on greater than and less than. Possibly crossing the line on what's appropriate professional behavior, I've worn it while teaching about blood types and the circulatory system. And, I'm even considering wearing it to afternoon pick-up since it's raining today. (For those of you who don't work in a school or don't have to pick small humans up from school- rain makes for a miserable end-of-day procedure. Truly, it slows everything down, the kids are bonkers, and the drivers are cranky; it's the worst.) It's pretty inexpensive for such an eye-catching costume. It's worn over your other clothes, so you're not tied to wearing it all day. And then I love that it folds back up and gets shoved back in my filing cabinet to be on-hand for the next occasion that needs me dressed as a shark. Seriously, this might be my favorite Amazon purchase ever.
Wife like to wear it during Shark Week
I don't know why one of the eyes is upside down. Perhaps it was a factory mistake or perhaps it is a design flaw. The costume eliminates all peripheral vision so you have to turn your whole body to see someone standing right next to you. All that said, the costume was a huge success and wildly popular among everyone who mentioned it. I wore it bartending and it does have the benefit that I could still use my hands to make drinks. The fact that I had to turn my whole body to see what was next to me made customers and coworkers laugh out loud at my body language. From a distance it looks like a cartoon character and everyone could tell I was dressed as a shark from very far away. From a distance it looked like a shark was running wild at the bar and most people thought it was funny and exciting. The managers and executives where I work made a special appearance to see my costume, so it was also a good career move. I also got it delivered super fast and by time for Halloween, which was not guaranteed. The costume is very warm. I was sweating in the 80 degree temperature outside where I work.
Hello reader, I bought 2 of these for Halloween. I received them in the mail yesterday. I tried it on and it fit like the picture. I will need to steam it, as it is very wrinkled, but that is no big deal. I took off one star only because I feel like in the picture that the guy's face is more visible than what mine looked like. The face hole was a little small made it tough to see, and it is not a hood so I cant really shove my head through either. I wish the mouth was a tad bigger. Same costume fit me and my husband, obviously it was longer on me as I am shorter. I am really happy with it. I am going to sew a bow on mine and a tie on my husbands so we can be Mommy and Daddy Shark.
Great last minute costume for a back to work surprise for my coworkers! Got a lot of giggles and smiles, so it fulfilled its purpose! It does end up getting a little warm after awhile, but as far as shark costumes go it’s probably the lightest and least irritating one to wear. I was able to wear it my entire work day, so there’s that! At first it was a little difficult to get the head on right, and sometimes it would start to sag down and the mouth would start to cover my view, but then if I pulled the foam insert inside the head down tighter I was able to solve that problem for another hour or so! Overall very effective for the purpose I bought it for, and also great for freaking out your pets! Haha
Cute costume for the price. My 16 year old daughter is going to wear this one to accompany her 7 year old brother trick-or-treating. For adult men looking at this... my daughter is 5' 6" and this costume comes down to the top of her thighs like it shows in the picture, so if you're very tall it may be even shorter on you. It isn't overly baggy on her, either, and she's small, so keep that in mind. We will have to stuff the fins with paper to make them stand out, but that's not a problem. I'd rather have to do that and pay less than have it pre-stuffed and pay more.
My penguin and lobster friends and I went out for a gentlemanly game of put-put golf a few weeks ago. As you can imagine, we were a hit among the people around us; photos were taken, children were laughing, and it significantly improved our putting abilities! Had to stuff the head/tail, but that wasn't hard, and it was made for someone who is a bit taller (I'm only 5'7 - I'm a shorter fellow) and/or larger. Had a minor shipping issue, but it wasn't the fault of the company, it was purely on my end; the company actually (on a Friday afternoon) was quite receptive to my issue and willing to work with me to have my prized shark outfit before my put-put outing. Worth every penny!
So, my wife decided that she needed this costume to teach her kids about "<,>,=" in math... The kids come in from recess and she has on the costume...She plays the "Baby Shark" video and then does the lesson...It will be one of those things when they are 40 and helping the grandkids with their math, they will flash back on my wife in this costume... it was a hit for the younger kids when she wore it into the cafeteria as well... great costume, I am sure it will be used again and again...
This costume was as described. I did fill the tail as suggested by another reviewer in order to make the bottom fins stand out. I used plastic grocery bags and they worked well. Maybe a little pricey for a costume that will only be worn a couple of times, but not more so than some costume stores. Costume held up to school parties and also was washed on delicate and hung to dry and turned out fine as well.
I bought this to wear at a Jimmy Buffett concert. It was fantastic. I am not an attractive man, yet I have never had so many pictures taken of me in my life. I now know how Jaws must have felt walking the red carpet in 1975! Now I know what you are thinking: "can I coach soccer in this?" The answer is a resounding YES! My boys team had an early game, which they are generally not-so-awake for. During warmups, I slipped into this get-up and started chasing them around to get the blood flowing. Nothing like a near death experience of a land shark to spur a 9-0 win! I highly recommend this suit.
My husband is 6’2” and 175 lbs and this fits him fine. He still has room for movement; however, the top hangs over his head a bit so I will probably just tack it under a little without affecting the look. A minor fix. We bought this (along with another kind for me) for a ‘social distancing visit’ to our granddaughter. We are pleased with what we got for the price.

Bought this for a Halloween party and it fits fine. I am 6ft with broad shoulders and the costume fits fine, no complaints. The only thing is... the fins & tail are kinda flimsy. My wife had to stuff the tail with some stuffing material to give it some shape. And we also had to hang the costume by the fins to give it shape too. We did it a few days before the party and it looked fine. But other than that a decent buy for the price.
Great costume for the price, not great quality but common it's a Halloween costume you really going to hang on to this for another 364 days?
